Each hour of every day in our lives is a test...

What a beautiful morning it was…..it had been so hot all these weeks, and to feel the cool breeze in the early hours today was really a blessing. It was just so lovely watching the trees dancing with the wind, the birds also seemed so chirpy and I couldn’t help smiling looking at this natural beauty.

The past week had been quite a trying time for my family and I didn’t know that today would get even more tough… I couldn’t control my tears….even though my mind kept telling me ‘you have to be brave and daler for everbody else’ but I couldn’t control my feelings for I was wondering what was going on……. Where had I faltered, when had I forgotten to thank Maharaj and I realized it must’ve been a thousand times. I took everything Maharaj gave me for granted… never appreciated the food ‘Ann’ HE gave me, the house HE has given… the shelter HE has provided from the thunderstorms, the heavy rains from the scorching sunlight, the comfort of a bed to rest in peace, eyes to see and enjoy this life… to see HIM (if I tried to), ears to listen to Bani, this life 'manukha jeewan' to do simran and simran only…, hands to do sewa…..legs to walk to the Gurudwara that I seldom do…
And above all such a wonderful family, such loving caring & understanding parents and a wonderful brother….what more could I have asked for……But I have faltered for I may not have thanked HIM so many times, I must have hurt somebody….

But it amazed me when I saw how much faith my parents & my brother showed in Maharaj! They were smiling through such a difficult period so I tried to be bold & wipe off the tears and said to myself am Guru ji’s daler daughter! Everyone goes through trying times and we all have to learn to face life with courage, a smile and lots of Naam..simran…..and learn never to forget Akal Purakh. Maharaj takes our tests to see whether we will remember HIM……. to see how much faith we have in HIM...

Ik Maharaj da Naam hee asraa hai…. iss sansar sagar toh par horn layee…

Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai Chareh So Utreh Paar….
